The Lute Society of America will present "Summer Seminar 2008: The Journey Continues" from June 22-28 at Case Western Reserve University near Cleveland, Ohio. The seminar includes classes, concerts, lectures, and lute lessons.

The Bodleian and Folger Libraries are combining efforts to create digital copies of "all 75 editions of William Shakespeare's plays printed in the quarto format before the year 1641." The folios are the closest copies to Shakepseare's own in existence.

The Barony of Fenix is proud to host The Spring Crown Tournament of the Middle Kingdom and the Kingdom Arts & Sciences Competition!
This will be held Memorial Day weekend at the Drawbridge Inn and Convention Center! This is a lovely site with reasonable room rates, restaurants, a tavern, a nightclub, and a lovely pool complex onsite.
Saturday will be a day of the best arts and sciences of our Kingdom on display for competition. There will be A&S roundtable discussions! There will be rapier combat! There will be a Scribal Meet-and-Greet!

Celebrate the four years of dedication that our Baron and Baroness, Guillaume and Rowen, have given to Hidden Mountain. Join us for the Hidden Mountain Hafla -- a grand middle eastern style party featuring middle eastern music and A&S. A sideboard of delicious food prepared by Hidden Mountain's youngest head cook, Amanda Rebellina will be served all day. The theatre and film world is mourning the death of British actor Paul Scofield, best known for his role as Sir Thomas More in the classic A Man for All Seasons. Scofield was 86 years old. Audrey Woods of the Associated Press wrote his obituary.

Come, one and all, to the fair lands of Arrow's Flight to relax, be silly and enjoy each others company for Mystery Event.
It will be held at the American Fork Senior Center, 54 South Main, American Fork, UT on March 29, 2008. The festivities will begin at 10:00 am and continue throughout the day and into the night. The day will boast heavy and rapier fighting, both tournament and melee. It will also host Youth Combat tournaments, as well as many Youth Activities. Several Arts & Sciences classes will be taught by the many talented people of the area. During feast, we will be entertained by the gifted musicians and story tellers of these fair lands. Between the songs and stories, we will have the modeling and populous voting for our annual Bad Garb Contest. Our enjoyment of the day will commence with a delicious feast, prepared by Lord Ramon de Javier. The menu is as follows, with a brief description for those with dietary concerns.
