Barony of the Flame presents Christmas Tourney XXXIX on December 4th, 2010. Once again, it's time to gather up toys and coats for the Baron's toy tourney. This year, we'll be at a new site, with lots of space for plenty of activities.

The end of the year draws near and it’s time to look back and think about the help and support that we got from friends far and near. And what would be more fitting as to thank those friends with a weekend of celebration, fun and good company.

Der Welfengau is holding the next in a series of large scale fencing practices on Sunday, October 24, 2010 the day after Crown Tourney, at the University of Guelph. These practices are intended to bring a large number of fencers and people with an interest in the martial arts of the SCA
together to share what they know and have fun while doing it.

I wanted to put this out here, just in case anyone might be up in our neck of the woods on October 17th. The first regional fighter practice held in this round was hosted by Glaedenfeld the day after Tavern Brawl and was a real blast! We hope to have as big or better a turn out up here in Murray!

Her Royal Majesty has decided that all sly swordsmen (and women) of slashing steel should compete to be Her Royal Champion of the Fence. In order to decide who will fill this prestigious role, She has asked the Shire of Stormsport (Erie, PA) to host a grand tournament on October 9, 2010.

All ye Meridien Gentles are invited to enjoy and compete in the annual Talmere Tourney. Champions will be crowned in Heavy and Rapier fighting. Prizes will be awarded for Arts and Sciences, and for the talented Bards among you as well.

I am pleased to announce a regional Rapier fighter practice, to be held in conjunction with the Shire of Wyrmgeist fighter practice on the afternoon of Sunday, October 10, 2010.  If Diamond Wars is out of reach, come play with us instead.

We would like to invite you to this year's Guild Day on the 18th of September, 2010 at 1st Toongabbie Scout Hall. The day will be fairly informal and will consist of teaching A&S and fencing classes, socialising and showing off what the varied guilds can do.

The WMAinSCA camp will again be offering a full series of Historical Martial Arts classes at Pennsic War 39 from August 4 - 11, 2010. The schedule includes sessions in longsword, rapier, dagger, poleaxe, and more.

Yet again we will have Master Timotheus with us, this time to teach us on the paradox of Defence as understood by George Silver and Master Cernac the Inspired will be instructing us on the teachings of Nicoletto Giganti.
