This event is intended to be a fun get together of people interested in the Arts and Sciences to share and learn about different types of Arts and Sciences and get ideas and feed back. This is not an Arts and Sciences competition but instead a forum of sorts to learn, teach, and share with each other. There will also be a fighting demo on Friday where we hope to have both rapier and heavy fighting. This will be on the University of Minnesota campus and is intended to get the attention of students and show off the fun things we do. Location:
College of Tor Aerie

Join with us, The Shire of Hornwood, on September 6th from 9am until 8pm in our efforts to clear out the rabble and fill our larders for the coming winter. The promise of great rewards awaits you at our Hideaway Homecoming! Location:

The next scribal workshop will be held on Saturday June 14th from 11 am until 4 pm at my home in Hodges, SC. As usual, we will hold a workshop for the scribal arts.
Lucien will have fencing practice outside. This time we will also be hosting a SCA "Swap Meet". (Thanks to Bri and Marla who suggested this!) Bring out your unwanted or unneeded SCA gear, jewelry, pretty much anything and swap or sell it to a new home where it can get a new life! Finally, this is an Ordes weekend, so come prepared to enjoy the fare at our very own local English Pub. We attend in Garb, so pack accordingly!

Robin in the greenwood is … and he wants us to join him. On May 10 we will return to the grounds of the Limerick Bowmen for a fair celebrating the flight of the arrow. (This year, no snow!)
Archery activities will include a roving range (including, we hope, a running deer), royal rounds, practice areas and novelty shoots.
We will also have thrown weapons and fencing.
There are both a hall and an outdoor shelter for those not shooting to gather to visit, game, or ply their crafts. Artisans are encouraged to bring projects to work on and share. (Bring tables and chairs). Merchants are most welcome (no charge above gate fees), with merchants of goods related to Archery, Thrown Weapons and the Fence given preference if space becomes an issue.

This topic is not meant to start a fight, nor is it meant to be offensive. It turns out this is a very sensitive subject from both sides of the fence. Anyway, be it one on one heavy weapons or one on one fencing, if a man says NO I don't fight women, NO i don't fight girls, NO i don't fight females, should the woman be forced to accept no for an answer and simply walk away? ANSWER: Yes. Like it or not, but in every state in the US NO always means NO.

The beginning of a bright, spring day where the sun shines down on Smeewick is abruptly disturbed by the sounds of fighting. The once quiet town is being filled with the noise between two households with their fighting. The constant bickering has boiled over from mere words, to swords between the two households. Through the upcoming weeks both sides will be spreading words to their members to bolster their houses. So pay heed to the messengers that may come or to those that the may receive letters, for your household may be calling. Arm yourself to prepare for the battle ahead. Location:
