The Lysts at Castleton are idealy based on René of Anjou's Traictié de la Forme et Devis d'ung Tournoy, written circa 1460. It is our desire to bring a touch of Rene's history to life on the lyst fields of Castleton.

Practice will start approximately at 12:00 noon and will run until 6:00 p.m (Rain, shine, or snow). Our facility can accommodate both heavy and light fighters. I will be holding a Rapier Clinic on the 14th and 15th of November at my residence in Delhi CA. The workshop will focus mostly on rapier/dagger and how to maximize your effectiveness with that form. The other focus will be on the psychology of historical fencing and how to control the fight.

A new translation by Ken Mondschein of Camillo Agrippa's manual of 1553, the earliest Italian rapier text, is available for purchase, while the English translation of Ettenhard's manual from 1675 can be read online.

War is upon us; are there any who will defend Outlands eastern boarders? We now have new and upcoming fighters and they will need instructions. These fighters are a bit green so they will need some gentle force to correct their errant ways. There is a $7.00 site fee plus a $3.00 non member fee and a $5 feast fee.

It has been a good season of fair trading (we can call it “trading”, yes?) and the time is right to celebrate our seafaring acumen as well as our health and wealth. Come and join other like-minded souls for a day of lusty pleasure; duelling, gambling, game playing, storytelling and enjoying the fruits of the brewer’s arts.

Gwen & Lori, Coronets of Rivenoak invite you to Tournament to determine their champion. There will be both a heavy armored and rapier champion, as well as a boffer tourney to determine the Junior Champion (two age groups). As we in Rivenoak are a little "different," the tourney will be run a little "different" (expect other than double elimination). Also, as we in Rivenoak are also known as "gameplayers", there will be several game tournaments to choose from, or bring your own, and challenge us with your favorite.
