The gentles of the Barony of Caer Anterth Mawr and the Shire of Ravenslake are very excited about this years’ camping event. We have planned many activities. The site is the same as last year and it absolutely beautiful.
We are surrounded on three sides by a lake where there is a beach for swimming. There is a hill with trees that adds to the fun of the fighting field. We will again be sponsoring heavy, light and children’s combat and archery. There will be A&S classes and activities and merchants selling their wares.

On the 11th day of March in the 40th year of the society - known commonly as 2006 - we Michael and Sati do invite all who are minded to attend an Artemisian Coronation held within the Barony of Loch Salann with all the traditional activities of the day including the Champions tourneys (Kings, Queens and Rapier) and other such amusements as The Crown may devise.

The Barony of Darkwood invites the West Kingdom to our Annual White Shield Tournament & Feast. Join us for a day of fighting and A & S displays, competitions & classes. The wonderful day of fighting, classes, and competitions will be followed by an amazing feast of Italian delights prepared by Head Cook Caterina di Guglielmo. The feast will be served family style. Come celebrate the investiture of our new Baron and Baroness. We will be hosting three on three melees for both the heavy and rapier lists. There will also be competitions for bread baking and the creation of warm garb.

Medieval Times dinner theatre is offering two free tickets to soldiers returning from Iraq and Afghanistan through February 26, 2006. The tickets are good Monday-Thursday at any of their facilities.

Come one, come all and celebrate the returning light in Ravensfjord! There will be many fun activities, including but not limited to a heavy tourney, which will be an arts of war tourney. Every fighter should be sponsered by a non combatant with a piece of artwork. If you are planning on participating in the tourney, please contact Gunnar ahead of time. Local populace is encouraged to make one or more pieces of their artwork for the tourney.

War is looming on the horizon, and so is the need for practicing for it! The Canton of Steltonwald invites all to the Aethelmearc War Practice XVII to be held May 18-21 at Cooper’s Lake Campground (205 Currie Road, Slippery Rock, Pa. 16507). Four days of all the fun you would expect. All the normal activities (fighting, fencing, archery, classes, shopping, court, dancing and, of course, partying!) will be held as usual.

This October 20-22 the Barony of the Sacred Stone will be hosting the War of the Wings against the Barony of Windmasters Hill. It will be held at Elchenburg Castle in the beautiful hills of Elkin, North Carolina. Come witness and participate in the glorious battles. Enjoy tales, songs, dancing and good company. There will be castle battles, woods battles, grand melees and torchlight tournaments for both heavy and rapier.
