Duke Radnor of Gildemar was the winner of the March 25, 2006 West Kingdom Crown Tournament. He was inspired by his lady, Duchess Ysabeau of Guildemar.

Steve Henderson, known in the SCA as Sir Steven MacEanruig, was at the backyard party in 1966 that was the genesis of the Society for Creative Anachronism. On March 8, 2006, Sir Steven left us for the next world.

Join the Barony of Selviergard as we host our first Spring Collegium. We will have visiting teachers from the Kingdom of the Outlands. Hot beverages will be provided. There will be an hour and one-half set aside for a brown bag lunch in the middle of the day. No food will be provided, so please bring your own!

Leohtulf of the Silver Hills reports that National Geographic will have a team of videographers to film the Shire of Esfenn's fighter practice in Hayward, California March 5, 2006. The practice will be used as footage for the Battle of Armageddon.

The Shire of Wolfscairn invites one and all to the Northern Wolf Tournament. In beautiful Sonoma County at Finley Park (where the Duchess' War was held last year). It will be this Sunday, February 26, 2006. Armour inspection starts at 11:00 and the tourney will start at noon.

On April 22nd the Barony of Vinhold will be holding the 3rd and last Saint Torvaldr's Day Celebration. At the end of June, Torvaldr Torgarson will be moving out of the Kingdom of the West to Ohio and the Midrealm.
