Velkomen!  Winter Nights or Old Norse Veturnætur was a Norse winter festival that was initially celebrated in pre-Christian Scandinavia. It was said by Snorri Sturluson that Winter Nights is one of the three most important festivals. This festival also marks the end of the summer and start of the win ter meaning the end of the harvest work and it was a time to celebrate.

On the Battlefield at Pennsic XXXIX, Their Majesties Radagaisus and Ceinwen, of the Middle Kingdom, offered Baron Silverthorn of Drachenmoor the accolade of Knighthood. Baron Silverthorn was placed on vigil earlier in the War.

Several years ago, Baron Ephraim ben Shlomo, KSCA, of the Barony of Cleftlands in the Middle Kingdom, authored an extensive article discussing the SCA Knight's Chivalric Oath of Fealty and how the oath governs the individual's behavior in the SCA.

Fighting and crafting in Evansville

Independence Day 2010 gave members of the Shire of Riviere Constelle a chance to display their crafting and fighting skills to the public at a demo at Wesselman Park. Dan Shaw of the Evansville (Indiana) Courier Press spoke with several members about the SCA. (photos)

Midrealm baron to champion cancer research at Pennsic 39

Baroness Maerwynn of the Barony of Brendoken in the Midrealm has announced that her lord husband, Baron Einar Blakklar, will take on all comers to raise money for cancer research.
