Caleigh Fleming enjoys medieval combat, and also having a safe place to enjoy "nerd" activities, so she helped to bring the Galahad Medieval Combat Society to Columbia University in Chicago. On June 19, 2014, the Shire of Blackhawk, the local chapter of the Society for Creative Anachronism in Rockford, Illinois, invited those interested in the Middle Ages to join them at the Northwest Community Center’s Corbett Building for hands-on activities practiced by the group. The Canton Museum of Art in Canton, Ohio recently held an exhibition entitled Illuminating the World: The Saint John's Bible, centered around a display of the Saint John's Bible, a medieval bible made with modern techniques. In conjunction with the exhibit, the museum hosted a medieval festival featuring members of the Marche of Alderford, the local chapter of the SCA. (photo)

At St. Cecilia at the Tower II, an event which took place May 18, 2013 in the Barony of Cynnabar, Midrealm, the Cynnabar Singers presented a program of period music. The program also included Martin's Bane from the Kingdom of Ealdormere. Videos are available to view on YouTube.
