At Their February 15, 2014 St. Valentine's Day Massacre event in the Canton of Three Hills, their Majesties Cellach and Vukasin, of the Kingdom of the Middle, offered elevation to the order of the Pelican to two of Their subjects.

"Honor and respect" demonstrated at museum medieval fair

The Canton Museum of Art in Canton, Ohio recently held an exhibition entitled Illuminating the World: The Saint John's Bible, centered around a display of the Saint John's Bible, a medieval bible made with modern techniques. In conjunction with the exhibit, the museum hosted a medieval festival featuring members of the Marche of Alderford, the local chapter of the SCA. (photo)

YouTube channel for bardic and combat videos

Alexander Van Ness of the Middle Kingdom reports that he has created a YouTube channel for videos of SCA bardic performances and armored combat.

SCA Teen Surveys re-posted

Lady Saehildr barngo'dhr reports that she has re-posted two surveys regarding teen participation in the SCA. The surveys will be open until January 22, 2014.

Medieval Society and SCA join forces at Purdue

Balthasar Thiabold elevated to the Order of Chivalry

On the Legio Draconis website, his Grace Brannos reports that Captain Balthasar Thiabold of House Darkyard has been elevated to the Order of the Chivalry. The knighting took place June 23, 2013 at Baron Wars.

Music at St. Cecilica's

At St. Cecilia at the Tower II, an event which took place May 18, 2013 in the Barony of Cynnabar, Midrealm, the Cynnabar Singers presented a program of period music. The program also included Martin's Bane from the Kingdom of Ealdormere. Videos are available to view on YouTube.

Mistress Gwyneth Banfhidhleir reports that Sir Cellach MacCormach was the victor of the May 26, 2013 Crown Tournament in the Kingdom of the Middle. His Highness was inspired in His endeavor by Lady Vukasin of Lozengia.

The Barony of the Cleftlands and the Shire of Falcon’s Quarry welcome you to the 17th Annual Northern Oaken War Maneuvers held in Wellington, OH on June 7 – 9, 2013. Middle Kingdom law allows same-gender baronial consorts

An amendment to Middle Kingdom law now allows Their Majesties to appoint baronial couples of same or opposite gender, or individuals, as Their Majesties deem "most fit to represent the Royal Presence in the Barony."
