Return with the Shire of An Dun Theine to the days of yore, with Borton-on-Water and Sodbury in bitter competition once again. This is an event where all titles and regalia will be left behind. We're serious. And you probably will get dirty. We're very serious.
We will have misting stations set up to aid in the the comfort of the populace.

Sad tidings have come from Meridies. Baron Sir Starhelm Warlocke (Michael F. Boelter) has passed away on June 25, 2008, of a heart attack while driving his truck near his home in Nashville, TN. His wife was able to get control of the vehicle and pull over.

Come one come all to the 30th anniversary of the Shire of Arenal celebrated at Arabian Nights this July 4th and 5th, in Pensacola FL. This year's theme is A Mongol's Paradise XXXanadu! We are focusing on the melding of cultures resulting from the Mongol invasion of the Arabs in the 13th century.

The Incipient Shire of Okeborne Keep will be hosting a regional dance practice on July 26, at the (air conditioned!) campus of the University of Alabama. The goal of this is to give the members of all nearby groups a chance to get together and learn some easy dances without the distractions of a full blown event. Garb is optional.

Benedict Longsword of Monmouth reports that armor was stolen from the vehicle of Michael Ward (Ian Lowery) in Montgomery, Alabama during the weekend of May 10-11, 2008. Lord Benedict hopes that SCA members will be on the lookout for it.

Greetings, The Shire of Flintmarsh would like to invite all fighters in the region of South Georgia, North Florida and South Alabama to a Regional War Practice on May 25, at Citizens Lodge Park in Marianna Florida, The site has plenty of room for manuevering and archery.
Start time is scheduled to start at noon.
There is no park fee, there are restrooms, shelters and a grill and
water will be provided.

We will keep young ones (5+) busy with a Bocce' tournament while the parents feast their minds. For the body, a sumptuous Irish feast from the kitchen of Baron Sir Jean Claude of Adlerstaat. For the less intellectually interested, an area will be available for pickup fighting, weather permitting. Classes include: Blacksmithing, Embroidery, Medieval Games and much more!
