Let it be known that Baron Stormhold will be mounting a surveying expedition of the land in the west of his fief. To this end he seeks applications from suitably qualified individuals and companies. In particular all surveyors, engineers and cartographers are encouraged to represent themselves to his Excellency. In addition the services of a number of guards will be required due to the wild nature of the lands into which the expedition will venture.

Border War is back again! This year is Border War IX, held from Friday 23rd - Sunday 25th February, 2007. And this year, we fight to save Our Lands from the invading Southern Army. Who will oppose us, and who will defend us?
Fighters, please note which army you will fight with when you make your booking - and to persuade you to the side of righteousness, please heed the following:
"The Shire of Bordescros has but 2 fighters - but we will willingly sacrifice them upon the field of war to defend the right and honour of our King and Queen. We are at this moment raising an army of mercenaries, with promises of largesse. Largesse? I hear you cry, What kinds of largesse? 500 yards of the finest silk; Innocent Virgins to be Despoiled as Thou wilt; Mead, Ale and Beer; Pieces of Eight and the like will be disbursed from our coffers at Border War, if thou shouldst survive. If thou shouldst die upon the field of battle, thou shalt be buried with greyt honour and thy widow and children shall be our kin for ever more."

Imagine the scene: 150 or more gentles garbed in soft wools and linens. Banners and pennons fly gently in the breeze that stirs the firs. Nearby is a coffee house, where stories of past renown and future conquest are spun, while spindles twirl a more tangible yarn. To one side, knights and nobles practice the arts martial, while consorts discuss bruise remedies. Flocks of charming children run errands when not playing on the lush green grass. A short walk away there is singing beside the waterhole and splashing in the cool deep waters. A hedgehog snuffles idly by.

The year is 1346, and all England revels in the triumph of their Yeomen over the French at Crecy, and the Scots at Neville's Crossing. By the will of England's King Edward III, we invite one and all to gather for a celebration to honour the courage and skill of those who wield the bow in our defense.
We will have all manner of archery shoots, so that the noble archers of Lochac may display their prowess, and archery-related workshops, that they may share their knowledge. In addition, we will have a divers array of entertainments to amuse and delight the populace; a traveller's potluck lunch (please bring a dish to share) and a bountiful evening feast on the Saturday, combat scenarios for heavy, light and rapier fighters (fighters: please come prepared for a mixed combat scenario), a 'Plague Rat' quest to challenge the youthful, song, dance, games, and revelry. All are welcome to share good company and good cheer as we toast our victories.
