Mudthaw will feature a wide variety of activities: tournaments in Armored Combat, Rapier, and Youth Combat, Archery, Thrown Weapons, and an array of Fine Merchants. Artisans can enter their works in a Competition with the theme of "Heraldry", in addition to an Exhibit for anyone who would like to display completed or in-progress work. We will sate your appetites with a lunch dayboard and a grand feast, cooked by Wilhelm van Utrecht, in the evening. Their Majesties will hold Royal Court, along with the final Court of Baron Teric and Baroness Paigan, and the first Court of Alexander and Rhiannon. The event will conclude with dancing to the music of the Bhakaili Branslers!

New to the Society? Or not so new but want to learn new things? Then come to Bergental's 6th Novice Schola! This year we'll have classes during the day and celebrating our sweet 16th anniversary as a barony with a sideboard for dinner and the floor open for an evening of dancing (not to worry, there will be dance lessons during the day!).
The class schedule will feature introductory classes in sewing, embroidery, personas, dancing, and more. Classes run from 10am to 5pm. Please note that the event site opens at 9am, so that gentles will have time to sign in and look at the class schedule before they start.

The Northern Shores invites one and all to its annual Regional Practice. This event features melee practices and singles pick-ups for both rattan fighters and fencers. There will be a large day board set up with both drink and food throughout the day. As well there will be classrooms available for those wishing to work on A&S projects.

The mother of the high school senior whose yearbook banned his photo in SCA armor and sword has sued on her son's behalf. The Rhode Island ACLU is supporting the suit, which seeks to prevent the publication of the yearbook without the picture.
