After seventeen years of service to the dream, Aisin-gioro Biya was awarded arms for her work in aviculture by King Andreas and Queen Gabriella at Warrior's Naadam, Silver Horde's 10th anniversery celebration held in Ostgardr, East Kingdom. Given Biya's own Jurchen shaman persona, the setting for her award couldn't have been more appropriate.

Did you ever wonder what goes in to the upkeep and training of a horse? Do want to learn how-tos of hound coursing? Maybe falconry fascinates you and you've always wanted to see one hunt on the wing. These and other topics along with hands-on-demonstrations will be yours when you come to the second Horse, Hounds and Hawks Collegium, to be held in the Shire of Coppertree on October 12-14.
You do not have to be an avid animal person to attend, there should be plenty for those who simply want to become educated on-lookers or who would like to learn some of the associated arts without actually having to own an animal of ones own. Classes will be posted to http://frontpage.velocity.net/duane/hhah.htm as presenters register. If you'd like to present, please contact Syr Alexander or Mistress Rannveigr to email@example.com.

The Great All-Father Odin gladly sacrificed an eye for a drink from Mimir's well of wisdom, and was thereby granted knowledge of the Runes. You too, will want to give up an eye (or at least an eyetooth!) for the chance to drink from the Well on October 20th in the bountiful lands of the Mountain Freehold.
Mimir's Well will be held at the Warren Elementary School in Warren, Vermont (technically in the Shire of Panthervale, but they are graciously allowing us to host this event there). The site is dry and no open flames are allowed.

Many years ago there was a caravan went missing in the wild nothingness that lies between our mighty Baronies. For nearly a decade we have been searching for the Lost Caravan. During every one of those terrible years we have sent out scouts, strained our ears for any news, and have been lighting a beacon at their last camp site in hopes of guiding them back to us. Finally our search is over.
But we have to ask, where have they been? What have they seen?

Raphael painted a portrait of Lorenzo De'Medici that was to be his introduction to his intended bride, a cousin of King Francois I of France, in about 1518. The picture shows Lorenzo, the Duke of Urbino, wearing a quite sumptuous costume, ornately gold with red puffy sleeves and gray fur lining around his neck.
