On Saturday, June 1, 2013, the outgoing Royal Archery Champions of the East ran a devious (some would say “despicable”) tournament to determine their successors.

Laurels Beat Pelicans in Boffer Fundraiser

The Laurels and Pelicans tried to take to the field at Panteria on a rainy weekend to raise money for the East Kingdom's Pennsic War Chest. Instead of holding boffer melees outside, the peers engaged in one-on-one bouts for the entertainment of a soggy crowd at an event where most of the activities were rained out.

Endewearde advanced to baronial status

The correspondants of the East Kingdom Gazette report that the Board of Directors of the SCA have approved the advancement of the Shire of Endewearde to baronial status. The announcement took place at the January 26, 2013 BoD meeting.

Alys Mackyntoich, Vox Regis Herald for Their Majesties Edward and Thyra of the Kingdom of the East, reports that Their Majesties offered elevation to the Order of the Pelican to two of Their subjects at the recent Feast of Twelfth Night.
