Giovanni and Lucia to be new Baron and Baroness of Skraeling Althing

THLady Kersteken Janzdochtere, Acting Skraeling Althing Baronial Seneschal, has announced that Lord Giovanni d'Enzinas and Lady Lucia d'Enzinas will be the next Baron and Baroness of the Barony. The announcement was made March 28, 2009 by Their Majesties Etain and Valfreya at Break the Back of Winter.

[EAL] Forward Into The Past XIX

Since 1990, the Kitchener-Waterloo branch (Bryniau Tywynnog) of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) has presented a day of classes exemplifying the best of the Middle Ages. Over the years, several other groups such as the Dark Ages Recreation Company, Regia, and AEMMA have joined the SCA in making this an exciting and educational event. FITP is a non-profit event with any profit going to the local chapter of the SCA (a non-profit group). The local chapter also covers the losses in the years where FITP loses money.

I would like to invite all who are interested and available to a fight practice that does not fall as per our normal schedule. On Monday 29 December 2008 I have arranged to use Lake Street Armouries.

Two great haunted Doges and their allies match wits in 15th-century Florentine style, plotting in contests of Sword, Rapier, and Chess to win the day and be hailed as "The Most Mighty, Cultured, Cunning and, uhh... Frightening City-State."

This is a combined Tournaments and Dance event. There will be heavy, rapier, and chess tournaments as well as dancing all day, and a Masquerade Dance Ball through the evening. Everyone is encouraged to bring masks to add to the ambiance. We planned this event soon after Halloween for a reason! Location:
