In the lush and verdant fenland of the Eastern marches of Insulae Draconis, from whence of old the seafaring Danes and the fierce Angles did make war on Albion, peacefully now dwell the loyal and gentle folk of Flintheathshire.
These fine folk have bethought themselves to invite one and all to their hearth to escape the cold and to light up the dark with laughter and music and feasting, to join them in their ancient festival of Yule at The Bidwell Centre in Thetford Forest, Southern Norfolk from Friday the 12th December at 1700 closing on Sunday the 14th December at 1300.

On the Day of St Francis, there will be a Fair and Tournament in the fair Shire of Polderslot. Since our shire is rich in offspring (ages 1- 12) our event will be fun for all ages. The aim is to do medieval things that we can all do together, and that are as interesting for the adults as for the children, like decorating your own badge with (safe) medieval paint, learning a new dance or helping to prepare feast. Location:
Shire of Polderslot (Ommel, The Netherlands)

Thanks to Two Seas for stepping up and offering to give the project a kick start, the Regional Garb Workshop is up and running again!
This is the perfect opportunity to get started with or put the finishing touches on your winter garb, get some creative ideas on future projects, get help with sewing/embroidery techniques, or just have some company to chat with while you work on your garb.

There is unrest in the shire of Juneborg. The dispute over the estate granted by the King continues. Who is the rightful owner? Is it true that the winner of last year’s war signed away the rights to a loyal general from his side? It seems we must once again settle this cause on the field of honour with swords and axes. For the more peaceful people there will be classes, workshops and arts and science exhibition as well as a bazaar where items pass from one owner to another. On Saturday a great feast will be served to the hungry and to the survivors. Please bring your banners to help decorate the feast hall. Location:
Shire of Juneborg (Mullsjö, Sweden)

The Canton of Poukka invites you all to witness the combat that will determine who will be Crowned our King and Queen at Twelfth Night Coronation 2009!
The main feast is sold out as of August 18. But do not despair, you won't go hungry: if you missed the main feast, you can make a reservation for a smaller feast with less dishes. Note that the smaller feast is served in a separate building. If seats would become available for the main feast, those will be offered to those who have made reservations for the smaller feast, in the reservation order (i.e. the faster you book the small feast, the more likely you are to get a seat at the main feast as cancellations are inevitable).

After ten years of war about the claim of a legendary treasure which was never found, the Barony of Knights Crossing and the shire of Meadowmarsh have agreed to settle the struggle and to keep peace so both lands may prosper and grow to extend the kings wealth and power.

Do you remember the good old days of Turmstadt's golden harvests, when you were sent through thickets and underbrush to match your wits with mud puddles and manic marshals? These days are back...with a vengeance!
Turmstadt proudly announces the R³ - Rothenburg Riddle Rampage. We have regrouped and relocated to a campground right next to the beautiful medieval town of "Rothenburg ob der Tauber" in northwestern Bavaria , one of the biggest tourist attractions for the historically inclined (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rothenburg_ob_der_Tauber) . From there, we will hand you a haversack with provisions for the day and send you on a scavenger hunt to complete various cunning puzzles and obscure tasks to win the ultimate prize - namely, to decide what is supposed to happen to Nebelwald's precious banner, which is currently in Turmstadt's possession!

Sharpen your quills and mark in your calenders that the sixth Cudgel War will be held at the traditional site in Kavalahti, Inkoo from 18th to 27th of July, 2008. Once again it is time to sweat on the battle field, fighting hard to end the oppression and then to cool down either in the lake or with a cold drink or a few.
For the heavy fighters we have several tourneys, including the (in)famous Nordic 1000, three days of war, plus plenty of structured fighter practices organized by Sir Siegfried and Sir GrimR. Of course we also have fencing, archery, arts and sciences as well as unforgettable sauna parties that last until the morning or beyond.

The Shire of Polderslot likes to invite you all to our Summer event. The theme this year will be witchcraft and superstition. The site is in a beautiful spot in the woods, perfect for outdoor activities.
We will arrange a quest to look for witches and ghosts, so we need heavy weapon fighters, fencers, but also people who are able to do arts and sciences like for example music. However, it is recommended not to stay out in the woods after dark, for the locals swear the 'witte wieven' still roam at night...

Simona Valentini di Piero will be teaching how to make basic salves, essential oils and creams from primary source recipes; enjoy a walk through the fields and forest in which we will learn to identify various useful plants in their natural habitat. Learn about the equipment used and the primary sources that we have on this subject. There will be a small fee for materials and for food for the weekend, but dinner will be Potluck. Location:
