Winnebago Scout Reservation
Take your best route to the Avenue of the Saints (aka Hwy 218/27/18). Turn south onto Glass Ave at Rudd (15 miles east of Mason City and 7 miles west of Charles City) and go south, away from Rudd, about 4.5 miles. Turn left onto CR-B45 (because Glass Ave turns into a gravel road here) and go east just under a mile. Turn right onto Hickory Ave and go 4.5 miles south. Turn right (west) onto Glass Road and go 1/10th mile to the scout reservation at the first bend in the road.

Directions: Take your best route to I-380 towards Cedar Rapids. Go to the Toddville exit (Exit 28, CR-E34/County Home Rd). From the South, take a right (from the North, take a left) on to County Home Road. Go East on County Home Rd (approx. 4 miles) to CR-W58/Alburnett Rd. Turn North (left). Go approx. 10 miles to Paris Rd (you will pass through the town of Alburnett). Turn left on Paris Rd, following the signs. Turn right on Hitaga Rd. Camp is 1 mile north on Hitaga Road on the right.

At the Fifieth Crown Tournament of Calontir, held on May 3, AS XLIII in the Barony of Mag Mor, Graf Luther Ambossfaust, inspired by Mistress Maerwynn of Holme, defeated His Lordship Alric Upplendingr to claim the right to rule the Falcon Realm.

Come enjoy Crown Tourney at our new, spacious site. In fair weather, a level field with scattered shade will serve as the tourney field. Right beside the field, a very large, open-air, roofed "tabernacle" will be the commons area -- or the indoor list field in case of foul weather.

From 29 August to 1 September 2008, there will be a metal and glassworkers gathering. Three Rivers is sponsoring three full days of hands-on classes and demos, ranging from blacksmithing and knife-making to repousse to coin-stamping to pewter-casting to stained glass... My list goes on and on!
This will be predominantly an outdoor event, with plenty of camping space
available. There will also be a large barn on site, with poured concrete

The Barony of Forgotten Sea presents Kris Kinder December 8, 2007.
Site opens at 7 am for merchants and 9 am for populace.
Kris Kinder will be held at the KCI Expo Center, just a few blocks from I-29 and I-435 near the airport. This is a 36,000-square foot exhibit hall with room for merchants, commons, court and meetings.

The setting was appropriate: the Arts and Sciences Building of the University of Missouri, Columbia, for an A&S symposium presented by Columbia's chapter of the Society for Creative Anachronism, Inc., and the MU Medieval Re-Enactment Society. Gwen Daniels of the Maneater has the story.
