Mistress Medb Renata (mka Renata Fossett), niece of Steve Fossett, the pilot who has been missing in the Nevada desert since September 3, seeks volunteer help from fellow SCAdians to find him. Anyone with a web browser can help, using a special satellite image system set up by Amazon.com.

The Known World Heraldic and Scribal Symposium 2007 will be held in the Barony of Lyondemere, Kingdom of Caid, in the Crowne Plaza Hotel a few blocks from LAX airport. There was so much to do, we couldn't cram it all into one weekend. The dates are Thursday, June 14 through Sunday, June 17, 2007. The event cost is $30 per person until April 1, $35 April 2 through May 15, and $40 May 16 thereafter and at the door. The additional fee for the banquet is $25 until May 15, $30 thereafter (vegetarian selection available, let us know when you send in your reservation). The day’s merriment includes an Egg Hunt, Youth Combat, spring craft, Raffle table and a Leprechaun chase. The wee folk are about, this St. Patrick’s Day, and the stories of Irish folklore will be told. The best use of the “wearing o’the green” garb will be awarded.
