You can help find missing Steve Fossett, uncle of SCA member

Mistress Medb Renata (mka Renata Fossett), niece of Steve Fossett, the pilot who has been missing in the Nevada desert since September 3, seeks volunteer help from fellow SCAdians to find him. Anyone with a web browser can help, using a special satellite image system set up by Amazon.com.

SCA shines at 12th annual Medieval Faire

Sixth graders at Dartmouth Middle School (Riverside County, California) learned all about the wonders of the Middle Ages when members of the local SCA group took them on a trip back in time.

Known World Heraldic and Scribal Symposium

description:
The Known World Heraldic and Scribal Symposium 2007 will be held in the Barony of Lyondemere, Kingdom of Caid, in the Crowne Plaza Hotel a few blocks from LAX airport. There was so much to do, we couldn't cram it all into one weekend. The dates are Thursday, June 14 through Sunday, June 17, 2007. The event cost is $30 per person until April 1, $35 April 2 through May 15, and $40 May 16 thereafter and at the door. The additional fee for the banquet is $25 until May 15, $30 thereafter (vegetarian selection available, let us know when you send in your reservation). Location:

Caidan storyteller THL Thomas Whitehart, also known as True Thomas the Storyteller, will be featured in the Saturday March 17, 2007 edition of Public Radio's Weekend America. His segment will cover Irish lore and storytelling.

Join children of all ages as Heatherwyne hosts the annual March Hare Event for the Children of Caid. The day’s merriment includes an Egg Hunt, Youth Combat, spring craft, Raffle table and a Leprechaun chase. The wee folk are about, this St. Patrick’s Day, and the stories of Irish folklore will be told. The best use of the “wearing o’the green” garb will be awarded. The Baron and Baroness of Lyondemere invite all archers and artisans of the Kingdom of Caid to their fair shores for a tournament like no other. On this day, there shall be no tournaments of swordsmanship, but a plethora of events designed to showcase the arts and archery.

Arts Competition
The winner of the day must have at least three entries, at least one entry in an Art and one in an Archery category. The Baronial Championship will not be counted as an entry. The winner Location:
