This October 20-22 the Barony of the Sacred Stone will be hosting the War of the Wings against the Barony of Windmasters Hill. It will be held at Elchenburg Castle in the beautiful hills of Elkin, North Carolina. Come witness and participate in the glorious battles. Enjoy tales, songs, dancing and good company. There will be castle battles, woods battles, grand melees and torchlight tournaments for both heavy and rapier. Location:

Let all knights, barons, lords, squires and men at arms of the baronies of Black Diamond, Bright Hills, Caer Mear, Dun Carraig, Hawkwood and Hidden Mountain, Highland Foorde, Lochmere and Marinus, Nottinghill Coill and Sacred Stone, Stierbach, Storvik, Tir-y-Don and also Windmasters Hill, and all cantons, shires, colleges, and border-marches that are in this most noble kingdom of Atlantia and all other Known World kingdoms, who are friends of our monarchs, Janos and Rachel, know that on the 18th of February, in the Barony of Ponte Alto, there will be a very great festival of arms and a very noble tourney with weapons of measure and tourney swords, in appropriate armor, with crests, coats of arms of the noble tourneyers, as is the ancient custom.

1550s Spain: Christopher Columbus may have been the first to journey to the New World, but these days it seems every explorer worth his salt is either looking for or holding letters of marque to carry them to a place called the Americas. They have high hopes of bringing back riches and glory. Ponte Alto wishes to commend Spain for its vision to sponsor the first voyage to this wondrous new land. Therefore, we have planned a day of Feasting and Celebration in honor of Spain and the intrepid explorers who followed Columbus' lead.
