The Shire of Sunderoak is honored to have been chosen to be your hosts as AEthelmearc celebrates its 10th anniversary as a Kingdom. Let all lords, ladies, barons and nobles of AEthelmearc and all other kingdoms know that the event will be held June 14-17, 2007 at Cooper's Lake Campground (205 Currie Road, Slippery Rock, PA 16057).
Fees will be as follows:
Adults - 3 nights $25; 2 nights $20; 1 night $15.

As the cold winter has put nature to sleep, Yuletide brings forth the promise of days growing bigger and the grass awakening from its deep slumber. All and all a perfect time to come and rejoice with the Barony-Marche of the Debatable Lands on its celebration of the Twelfth Night! Their Excellencies, Alonzio and Tatyana will hold their Baronial Court and her Excellency will also choose her Bardic Champion. There will be performances from the Debatable Choir, the Debatable Consort and I Genisii, dancing, a pillow fight (which has now become a 12th night tradition!), an A&S display (run by THL Odriana vander Brugghe, email at email@example.com
) with a Yule theme, a fencing tournament, children activities, our Silent Auction and much more to be scheduled!

SCAdians Char Branstetter and Cara McCandless longed to live their dream of owning a real castle, so they built one — in Pittsburgh! Patterned after Bodiam castle near Hastings in southern England, the structure includes wooden framing with a stone veneer.

The Shire of Stormsport welcomes all to the Annual Spring Bears Event
on March 3rd, 2007.
Activities this year will include heavy weapons as per normal, more
activities to be announced later.
This year's event will be held at the Erie Day School, of 1372 West
6th Street, Erie PA 16505. With the site opening at 9 am and closing

Let the Word go forth from the Industrious (and Insane) Shire of Sterlynge Vayle that once again we will be hosting a Sterlynge Schola at Trinity Memorial Church, 44 Main Street in the Mundane City of Binghamton, NY.
Unlike past Scholas, this one will be in the Dead Time of late
January--Specifically January 27, 2007 CE.
The Gate will open at 9:00 AM and the site will close at 6:00 PM.

Saint Julian, the patron saint of minstrels and wandering musicians, was known for offering hospitality to weary travelers. This winter, in the same tradition, the Barony-Marche of the Debatable Lands welcomes you in from the cold for a day of music and dance!

The Barony of Thescorre is pleased to announce The College of Three Ravens to be held on February 24, 2007, at the Western Presbyterian Church, 101 East Main Street, Palmyra, NY (phone: 315-597-9171). The hall opens at 9 AM and closes at 9 PM. The site is very dry, non-smoking & all flames must be enclosed. The site is not handicapped accessible.
The College theme for this year is: "Everyday Life in the Middle Ages".

In Barboursville, West Virginia, the archery interest of one child led the entire family to discover the SCA, and now they're thoroughly hooked! The Herald-Dispatch sent reporter Rachel Gensler, who did a nice feature story on the family and the Tavern at Kingdom's Edge event in AEthelmearc.

Sarah Kaufman of the Pitt News learned much about recreating the Middle Ages recently when she paid a visit to members of the Pitt Medieval Interest Group and the Society for Creative Anachronism as they gathered for a fighter practice on a November afternoon in Pittsburgh.

The Shire of Misty Highlands invites one and all to the Quiet Dell Community Center for a day of merriment and social gathering. Weather permitting heavy weapons, fencing, and thrown weapons will be taking place outside. If warmer indoor activities are more inviting to your palette, we'll be having a regional scriptorium, games, and a pot luck feast starting at 5pm. This is a time to get to know your neighbors, meet many new faces, and catch up with your old friends.

We are celebrating our 2nd Birthday with a fantastic Fall Festival (Yes, we are entering our terrible twos-can we get any worse?). A full day of activities is planned. We invite one and all to a full day of Tournaments and Competitions – Heavy Weapons, Fencing, Equestrian Arts, Thrown Weapons, Archery, Arts and Sciences, and Bardic Performance - all will be put to the test, with special awards for Tourney/Competition winners, and the naming of the Endless Hills’ Baronial Champions!

The Shire of Nithgaard will host its fourth annual textile symposium on the weekend of November 10-12 (a week earlier than usual), at the Sieg Conference Center located on Narrows Road in Lamar, PA (no street address). Saturday the 11th will be a day of classes and workshops devoted to fabric, string, and their glorious arts. Melee and tournament combat engagements in a medieval style will be organized by Thorvaaldr Frirsverth. The site opens at 2PM on Friday, and closes at 1PM on Sunday.

Do you want new garb? Does your armor need an update? Perhaps you just want to share and learn? Classes are being formed for armor, leather, needlework, hats, menswear, and ladieswear: clothing and accessories.
Site opens at 9 am; classes begin at 10 am at the Lyndonviklle central School: 25 Housel Ave., Lyndonville, NY 14098. The event fee is $5.00. Lunch is included. There is no feast. Some classes will have supply fees.

Come Join the Barony of Blackstone Mountain in this our 3rd celebration of the Festival of the Wickerman. It will be held on Saturday November 4, 2006 at the Jackson County Fair Grounds, 7204 Route 62 Cottageville WV 25239.
Event site will open at 10:00 am and close 12:00 pm. All those who wish to stay later will pressed into service for clean up.
We have a day filled with activities for all. Classes will be offered.
