Known World Scribal Gathering changes venue

Lady Kayleigh McWhyte, Coordinator for the Known World Scribal Gathering at Pennsic 36, has announced that there has been a change of venue for the event.

Applications accepted for top Heralds' positions

Hal Simon, Chairman of the SCA Baord of Directors, has announced that Laurel Soveriegn of Arms is accepting applicants for the Laurel Principal Sovereign of Arms, the Wreath Sovereign of Arms, and the Pelican Sovereign of Arms.

It's official! The 2008 Known World Heraldic Symposium will be in Thamesreach, in Drachenwald.

The Known World Heraldic and Scribal Symposium 2007 will be held in the Barony of Lyondemere, Kingdom of Caid, in the Crowne Plaza Hotel a few blocks from LAX airport. There was so much to do, we couldn't cram it all into one weekend. The dates are Thursday, June 14 through Sunday, June 17, 2007. The event cost is $30 per person until April 1, $35 April 2 through May 15, and $40 May 16 thereafter and at the door. The additional fee for the banquet is $25 until May 15, $30 thereafter (vegetarian selection available, let us know when you send in your reservation). Location:

SCA heraldic history found in the West Kingdom

Hirsch reports that Minutes from the Proceedings of the College of Heralds/Arms meeting of February, AS IV (1970) have recently surfaced in the West Kingdom. He believes that the minutes are from the second heralds' meeting of the SCA.

Lady Ysabel de Lille of the Kingdom of Artemisia has announced that she has created a new discussion list for Voice Heralds in the Kingdom, but also reports that she welcomes voice heralds from outside Artemisia.
