Henry VIII: "the man who really invented England."

Historian and curator David Starkey hopes to give those visiting the new exhibit on the life of England's King Henry VIII a fresh look at the monarch. Starkey said the exhibition would go beyond most people's perceptions of Henry and find "the man who really invents England."

The museum will sponsor Art and Love in Renaissance Italy, an exhibit that "promises romance, desire, youthful beauty, ritual, expensive gift items and possible sex in the land of Romeo and Juliet." Incredible private library features historical objects

The technology magazine "Wired" takes a rare look at the private library of Jay Walker, an entrepreneur whose eclectic historical interests have led him to create a library devoted to things that have "changed the way people think." The stunningly designed room contains books and artifacts from ancient to modern times, combining museum and library.

Dead Sea Scrolls come to the ROM in 2009

The Royal Ontario Museum has announced that it will bring sixteen of the Dead Sea Scrolls to Toronto for an exhibit which will run June 27, 2009, until Jan. 3, 2010.

A new exhibit on life in a Roman villa is now open at the Complesso di San Nicolo in Ravenna, Italy. Titled Otium: The Art of Living in the Roman House of the Imperial Age, the exhibit includes frescos, mosaics and over 100 household items.

Royal books to be displayed in London

Magna Carta exhibit to help fund cathedral restoration

Beauty and Duty: The Art and Business of Renaissance Marriage, an exhibit which "examines the manner in which art played a vital role in the rituals and celebrations of Renaissance marriage" will be on display at the Bowdoin College Art Museum (Brunswick, Maine) until July 27, 2008.
