The Barony of Unser Hafen invites the people of the Outlands to Peacock Reverie; A Newcomer Event. Games, tournaments and classes are planned for the day, including a classes taught by Their Majesties! This is a day of celebration to welcome new players to the Society, Kingdom and Barony.

If you're new to the SCA or have interested friends, this is the event for you! We will have a selection of classes covering many areas of interest found in the SCA. The classes will introduce new and old members to some of the various activities in the society.

Bystanders came face to face with the Middle Ages recently at Machado Elementary School in Lake Elsinore, California. Justin and Ashley Katz of San Jose decided to give the activities a try. "I've never used a bow before, but it's just something I've always wanted to do," Justin said. "It seems fun and the people are extremely nice. I think I'll be back." The Morgan Hill Times has the story.

Shire Lagerdamm's Newbie Collegium "Renaissance Spectacular: Life in the Tudor Court") is on the horizon and so far it looks as though there will be a pretty full Saturday with something for everyone to enjoy.
