In honor of Their Excellencies Colyn and Muiriath, who are celebrating their first Anniversary as our Baron and Baroness, our theme is Scottish: In 1322, Robert the Bruce of Scotland won a decisive victory over King Edward of England at the Battle of Byland. This defeat spurred England to finally accept Scotland ’s independence. (In the words of our Baron: “ Scotland was always free; it just took a while to convince England of that.”) So get out your tartans and kilts and join us in the spirit of Scotland !

Our event is a celebration of the way of the Romani life. Your goal at this event is to gain as much luck as you can by following the Romani way. Upon your arrival at the event, you will be given a token bag with beads. These beads symbolize good luck, but like all the Romani you must guard your luck carefully. A small group of Romani will be wandering the site. If you commit an act of bad luck, you will be asked to turn over one bead. If you are spotted doing something that will gain you luck, you may be given a bead. So pay attention!

On Oct. 31, A.S. XX, the branch called Sentinels’ Keep was founded, in the Region of Artemisia. Since then we have grown, from incipient Shire to Barony. Many of our founding folk have wandered away, but many more have come to take their places. Now Sentinels’ Keep invites her many friends from near and far to help us celebrate 20 years of our existence, on October 21. (This year we’re half as old as the Society!)
