The Gryffon Armory provides leather armor and accessories for the SCA, Larp, or anything in need of leatherwork. From costume and armor grade leather pieces such as bracers, gorget, and even full suits to frogs, sheaths, quivers, and, for the completist, dog harnesses for carts. Culinary student Anthony Emerson, AKA Admiral Epic Fail, is a child of the SCA and Ren Faires, but his particular taste for fantasy runs more to larping and Dagorhir. In an article for the Courier-News (Elgin, IL), reporter Mike Danahey spoke to Emerson about his participation in both organizations.

According to the Discovery Channel's website, the episode of Wreckreation Nation featuring Dagorhir is scheduled for January 20, 2009.

The premiere episode of the Discovery Channel's Wreckreation Nation will feature an epic Battle of Badon Hill as created by Dagorhir in Somerset, Pennsylvania. The first show will air January 6, 2009 at 10:00 p.m. est.

Dagorhir is a combat simulation group whose tournaments are based partly in history and partly in fantasy. Padded "boffer" weapons are used so that combatants can safely wear only minimal body armor.
