In late July, Chivalry Sports, well known supplier of clothing, armor, and weapons to the SCA and Renaissance Faire communities, closed the doors of its store in Tucson, Arizona for the last time. Phil Villarreal, reporter for the Arizona Daily Star, has the story.

Members of the SCA were present at the recent Renaissance ArtsFaire sponsored by the Doña Ana Arts Council in Las Cruces, New Mexico. The Faire features artists dressed in period garb who display and demonstrate their wares. S. Derrickson Moore of the Las Cruces Sun-News has the story.

The Washington Heights and Inwood Development Corporation sponsors a yearly Medieval Festival at the Cloisters museum of medieval art located in Fort Tryon Park near the northern end of Manhattan Island, complete with jousting, falconry, pageants and feasts.

Ren Rats is a comic strip updated three days a week online. It centers around the adventures (and misadventures) of eight Medieval re-enactors and the organization to which they belong, the Kutztown University Medieval-Renaissance Club.
