Board of Directors changes Corpora IV.B.1 allowing same-gender consorts at discretion of Crown

The Board of Directors of the SCA Inc. has announced a change to the Governing Documents that allows same-gender consorts to be permitted in Royal Lists at the discretion of the Crown of each kingdom. The change is effective immediately.

On Saturday, October 15, the seven members of the Board of the Society for Creative Anachronism met in Seattle for the open session day of their quarterly meeting. While many items of business were on the agenda, the topic of highest interest for many was the issue of same-gender couple leadership in the SCA.

At the recent SCA Board of Directors meeting, it was suggested that the SCA become a member of the Association for Living History, Farm and Agricultural Museums. ALHFAM is an organization "that serves those involved in living historical farms, agricultural museums and outdoor museums of history and folklore."

Board of Directors Comments on Outlands Crown Tourney Investigation

An investigation's results have led the BoD to comment publicly on the invalidation of the recent Outlands Crown Tourney. Duke Tom√ľki, victor in that tournament, has been suspended from martial activities and censured by the Board.
