Remembering the Templars

Remembering the Templars: 700 years of History and Myth, as this event is called, takes a look at the trial, dissolution and the subsequent mythology of the Knights Templar. This all day event is free and open to the public, and will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. on the California University of Pennsylvania main campus.

Horses, Hounds and Hawks II

Did you ever wonder what goes in to the upkeep and training of a horse? Do want to learn how-tos of hound coursing? Maybe falconry fascinates you and you've always wanted to see one hunt on the wing. These and other topics along with hands-on-demonstrations will be yours when you come to the second Horse, Hounds and Hawks Collegium, to be held in the Shire of Coppertree on October 12-14.

You do not have to be an avid animal person to attend, there should be plenty for those who simply want to become educated on-lookers or who would like to learn some of the associated arts without actually having to own an animal of ones own. Equestrians muster at Pontoon Beach

On July 21, 2007, 17 members of the Barony of Shattered Crystal brought their mounts to Pontoon Beach, Illinois to practice their equestrian skills. Scott Cousins of the Granite City Press-Record has the story.

Bryn Gwlad’s Fall Faire

Bryn Gwlad’s fall harvest has been bountiful. Come and share in our celebration September 28-30th 2007

There is a small village with clear water, friendly locals, open land with which to run your horse and list. There is plenty of area near town for the musicians and entertainers to roam. This area is protected from the elements by mighty pecan trees making it a pleasant spot for a Fall Harvest Celebration. There will be a great procession into town to show the good bounty that is Bryn Gwlad . Baron Thomas will set a fine table on the green serving feast under the watchful eye of Baron Niklas and his staff. Location:

Beyond Chivalry

Come and spend a day participating in Mounted Warrior Games. Ring tilts, Quintains, Spear Throwing, Crest Combat Tourney and a Challenge Course are planned for Intermediate level and above (must compete at a trot or higher). In addition we will have a Jousting Demo in honor of our most beautiful Queen by the mounted warriors that were at Atlantia's first Jousting Practice in April.
