On the West Kingdom list, it was reported that Leohtulf of the Silver Hills defeated Loy Schiemann der Klein in the finals of the recent Coronet Tournament in the Principality of the Mists. Leohtulf was inspired by Gillian Trenowyth. (video)

The Mobile Renaissance Faire! Held each year in Mobile for the past 8 years! For the third straight year, jousters from around the world will gather for the Tournament of the Phoenix, a weekend-long event to be held October 23-25, 2009 in Poway California. The event is being held in conjunction with the Festival of History, a living history event featuring re-enactors from Roman times to the Renaissance.

On January 22, 23 and 24, 2010, at The Escambia County Equestrian Center, 7750 Mobile Hwy., Pensacola, FL,32526, the GULF COAST FULL CONTACT JOUSTING TOURNAMENT will be held from 6-10 pm Friday Jan. 22, 12-4 pm Saturday Jan. 23 and again at 6-10 pm Saturday Jan. 23, and 1-4 pm Sunday, Jan. 24, 2010.

It was a day for horses, auctions and scavenger hunts - but mostly horses - when the Conejo Creek Equestrian Park hosted a benefit event for Ride On Therapeutic Horsemanship and California Coastal Horse Rescue, two non-profits who help horses and the disabled. The local SCA group was on hand with their equestrian unit. (photos)

A bronze-plated, elaborately-decorated chariot dating to the 2nd century was found recently at an ancient Thracian tomb in southeastern Bulgaria. Experts believe the vehicle was buried as part of the belongings of a wealthy Thracian aristocrat.
