Time PeriodThis category lets you associate articles with historical time periods, either by century or by commonly-used broad terms.
Places and CulturesCountries, cultures, ethnic groups, and other categories that indicate "where" (or "among whom") historical events happened. These categories are historical (real-world), not related to reenactment Kingdoms, Baronies, etc.
Article TypeA generic category that applies to articles and other items. This is independent of the subject area, and is meant to describe the "kind" of thing that an article is, rather than what it is about.
News SourcesMedia sources from which news items are regularly obtained
OrganizationsOrganizations and parts of organizations. Examples include living history groups, guilds, households, and so on.
