Tourney of the Yellow Rose

description:
The Proposed Shire of Radburne wishes to invite one and all to the Tourney of the Yellow Rose. Venture forth to the shores of the Red River to celebrate honour, chivalry and friendship.

Arrive for a light lunch at the hour of one in the afternoon on Saturday the 17th day of November ASXVII at Dragon Hill. Spend the afternoon in the pursuits of target archery, learning or teaching others to dance and the gentle pursuits of arts and sciences.

Enjoy the Tavern Feast in the evening with tasty food, good company and entertainment. 'Sing for your Supper' is the tradition for Radburne's Taverns (sing a song, tell a tale or riddle, recite a poem, play a musical instrument). The Radburne Players will perform a small piece. Dance into the late hours and enjoy the friendship.

On the morrow of Sunday, the 18th Day of November ASXVII, join us at the Red River to watch the combatants in the Tourney of the Yellow Rose. Lists open at thirty minutes past the hour of eight in the morning with combat to begin at thirty minutes past the hour of nine. Chivalry and Honour are the order of the day. A light lunch will be provided. Show your support of the combatants with Heraldic display and a viewing gallery. Spectator involvement will be encouraged.

Wear something yellow in honour of the Tourney of the Yellow Rose. Alas, we must also say farewell to Baron Sir Osric Godwineson and Lady Francesca di Tivoli as they prepare to move to Ynys Fawr. Come and help us wish them well until me meet again!
