Did you ever wonder what goes in to the upkeep and training of a horse? Do want to learn how-tos of hound coursing? Maybe falconry fascinates you and you've always wanted to see one hunt on the wing. These and other topics along with hands-on-demonstrations will be yours when you come to the second Horse, Hounds and Hawks Collegium, to be held in the Shire of Coppertree on October 12-14.
You do not have to be an avid animal person to attend, there should be plenty for those who simply want to become educated on-lookers or who would like to learn some of the associated arts without actually having to own an animal of ones own. Classes will be posted to http://frontpage.velocity.net/duane/hhah.htm as presenters register. If you'd like to present, please contact Syr Alexander or Mistress Rannveigr to email@example.com.
Note: If you are planning on bringing a horse separate fees are required for these activities. Contact Alexander or Rannveigr about boarding/riding requirements. Negative Coggins and proof of current rabies vaccination dated this calendar year (2007). Out-of-State - The same as In-State plus a 30 day health certificate.) Please be aware stabling priorities are 1) teachers, 2) horses being authorized, 3) general attendees. If you are bringing dogs for coursing, New York State requires proof of current rabies immunization for dogs. Please make sure you have documentation with you.
Horses are welcome on site after 7 PM on the 12th (No marshal will be available to check the transport paperwork until 7 PM). Dogs may arrive at the opening time.
