AEthelmearc Fall Coronation

Unto the Populace of the Glorious Kingdom of AEthelmearc, we invite all to come to the Incipient Shire of Riversedge, sponsored by the Shire of Stormsport for the Coronation of Duncan and Ilish, and to celebrate the legacy of King Rurik and Queen Angelik.

Coronation will be held on September the 15th at St. Anthonys Catholic Church Social Hall, 165 Beach Avenue, Cambridge Springs, PA 16403. The site opens at 10 a.m. and closes at 10 p.m. The site is wet, handicapped accessible, all on one level, and open flames are permitted during feast. Their Royal Highnesses have declared that at their Coronation they will choose the Youth Combat Champion.

Take your best route to I-79:
From the North: I-79 to the Edinboro exit (166). Take route 6N east for 2.4 miles into Edinboro. Turn right at the traffic light and take route 99 south for 6.7 miles. Turn left at the stop sign (still 99 south/ McClellan St.). Go 0.2 miles to the traffic light. Turn right onto route 19 south. Go 0.1 mile, crossing the bridge, then continue straight onto route 86 south for 0.3 miles. The site, Saint Anthony's Catholic Church, will be on your left.

From the South: I-79 to the Saegertown exit (154). Take route 198 east for 3.1 miles. Turn left at the stop sign onto routes 6N east/19 north. Go 7.8 miles (make sure you turn right at the blinker light at 4.2 miles staying on 6 east/ 19 north) and turn right onto Grant Street (there's a funeral home just after Grant St.). Go 1 block to the stop sign and you will be across the street from the site.

Parking: There is limited parking behind the site. Street parking is available but pay attention to the signage. There are three other churches in the immediate vicinity of the site, their parking lots are available for us to use. Also, there is a closed convenience store about a block north of the site with a small public lot behind it.

Overnight Accommodations: Arrangements have been made with America's Best Value Inn (formerly Motel 6) at 11237 Shaw Ave., Meadville, PA 16335, (814) 724-6366, to hold a block of rooms for us. Those interested in staying Friday 9/14 and/or Saturday 9/15 should call and make their own reservations, stating that they are with the "SCA". As long as 10 rooms are booked, the double room rate will be $59.99 plus tax (less than 10 is $79.99 plus tax). This is a fairly new hotel, situated right at the Meadville exit of I-79 along US 322. It is right next to Applebee's and Country Fair, across the road from Cracker Barrel, Perkins, and Chovy's Italian Restaurant, and within a short drive of all the usual fast food joints, several gas stations, grocery stores, and Wal-Mart. The rooms are accessed from interior hallways, and the room includes Continental Breakfast, with at least one hot item. Check in is 3:00 PM (if you call that day you may be able to check in earlier) and check out is by noon.

Directions from the site to the hotel: Take Grant St. (which is directly across the street from the site) 1 block to the stop sign, turn left onto routes 6 west/19 south. Follow this route 7.8 miles (At 3.6 miles there is a yellow blinker light, make sure you turn left and continue to follow 6w/19s) and turn right onto route 198 west. Go 3.1 miles to I-79. Take I-79 South 6.7 miles to the next exit, which is exit 147A, Meadville, US 322. As you leave the exit ramp, go 0.4 miles and the hotel will be on your right. Location:
