Icelandic dig to be subject of Discovery Channel program

Filmmakers from the Discovery Channel are working with archaeologists to produce a series focusing on "findings in Hringsdalur and in Skriduklaustur, an old monastery in east Iceland." The series is scheduled to air in 2008.

The program will cover the work of archaeologist Adolf Fridriksson in the Hringsdalur Valley near Arnarfjördur fjord. Iceland has become a subject of interest in recent years due to the number of archaeological finds there.
