Sydney discovers the Middle Ages

Andrew Taylor of the Sydney Morning Herald recently visited with members of the Shire of Radburne to learn about the SCA and how Australians enjoy the Middle Ages.

"We're planning on running battles all weekend," said Lady van Delden, the Seneschal of the Shire of Radburne, which is western NSW in the 21st Century. "But state laws, what we call mundane laws, are applicable so there will be no crossbows and our swords are made from rattan, not metal."
