ATTLEBORO, Mass. - Recognizing that non-profit living history organizations have limited funds and thrive only through the participation and generosity of others, is offering associations, groups, museums and parks dedicated to historic preservation and interpretation a no-cost opportunity to drive more visitors and potential members to their web sites.

The free, self-service online marketplace for reenactors, living historians and militaria collectors is offering free banner advertising on a "space available" basis to history-oriented organizations with 501(c)(3) non-profit, tax-exempt status. In return, is asking only for reciprocal links from the web sites of participating organizations.

Re-launched this summer, caters to most time periods: Ancient Warfare, Medieval/Viking, Renaissance Faire, Early Colonial, Golden Age of Pirates, French & Indian War, Revolutionary War, Fur Trade/Mountain Man, War of 1812, Victorian Era, Civil War, Cowboy/Old West, Great War/World War I and World War II.

Visitors to can buy, sell, and swap uniforms, accoutrements, and garb of all types. The site also features employment, genealogy, personal and services ads for living historians. A user need only register and confirm a valid email address to post ads, including item photos. Even commercial ads are free if they are posted by businesses devoted to living history.
