Viking ship towed

In an update on the Sea Stallion, a replica Viking ship heading from Norway to Ireland, the BBC reports that the ship was becalmed and needed to be towed.

The ship was towed to Kirkwall in Scotland's Orkney Islands. "As a consequence of the decision of towing the Sea Stallion across the North Sea, this part of the passage has now been cancelled in the research plan for 2007," said Viking Ship Museum director Tinna Damgard-Sorensen.
