The Field Museum in Chicago, IL offers a chance to glimpse rare books from the Mary W. Runnells Rare Book Room on October 5 and 12, 2002. On two Saturdays in October, the Field Museum in Chicago will open up its rare book room and let in the light -- and interested researchers. The program will allow participants a rare glimpse at treasures in the Mary W. Runnells Rare Book Room, such as rare 15th century manuscripts, as well as works by Audubon and Darwin.
