Greetings unto all of our young aspiring Artisans of the Known World, and to their parents/caregivers, from Mistress Safia al-Khansaa', Coordinator of the Second Annual Youth Arts and Sciences Exhibition!
I'd like to remind everyone that there is an incredible experience that awaits you at Youth Point (next to the playground) on Tuesday of War Week ...one that will inspire you, rejuvenate you, and make you just say..."WOW!!"
Plus, (first and foremost, of course) is an absolutely WONDERFUL opportunity for our youth to share their creative endeavors! It gives children of all ages a chance to shine as artists and craftspeople in their own right, and to learn and grow within the Arts and Sciences community of the Society. By having their very own exhibition, our youth have the chance to stand out and be recognized by Peers, Royalty, and the entire Populace, in a supportive, nurturing, and educational environment.
As this is the second year for the exhibition, we are anxiously awaiting the chance to see the artistic efforts of our young people. I can say for a fact, that I personally have never been more inspired by anything else in the Society than the work of our children.
Please encourage those special youth in your life to bring their A&S projects to War and participate in the exhibit! Whether they are a work-in-progress, or completed piece...we want to see it all! Every piece of artwork done by a child is a treasure!
For those who have not registered yet...never fear! Registration forms will be available the first week of War, at Youth Point, and at my merchant booth, WilloFyre Studio, across from the Basketman - space 172. Walk-in registrations will be gleefully accepted the day of the exhibition as well.
I also like to take this opportunity to publicly thank my deputy, Lord Valdis of Gotland for his assistance on this project, as well as Master Uillian Twit of Witlow and Poppy who graciously assist the children on the day of the exhibition, and my apprentice, Lady Druetta De La Rosa, who keeps me organized and helps me find my brain when I've misplaced it.
We look forward to seeing everyone on Tuesday August 7th at Youth Point!
In Service to our Youth, and to the Arts, I remain Yours, Mistress Safia
