Gillian Polack to Teach Online Course on Medieval Food

Suite 101 will offer an online course on medieval food to be taught by SCA member Gillian Pollack. The School of Food & Drink for online university Suite 101 will offer Medieval Food, taught by SCA member Gillian Polack. The course will cover a wide range of foods including meat and vegetable dishes, elegant subtleties and "fast food" from the years 1050-1400 and will include reference materials. The course is designed to give an overview of medieval food and offer resources for its preparation, including how to devise a banquet menu.

Dr. Gillian Polack has a background in medieval and Jewish studies and has a wide range of published material to her credit. Her book on how to cook for Jewish New Year in the Middle Ages has been published by the Kosher Consumers Association.
