Historic church to open its doors for charity tour

St Mary and St Eanswythe Church, built in 1128 in Folkestone, England, will open its doors for a tour to raise money for repairs. Registration is required for the tour which will take place July 9 at 11:00 am.
"The idea is to have enough time to explore the history and architecture in detail. In the morning we will look at the old building and the life of St Eanswythe, who is the patron saint of Folkestone. Then, in the afternoon we will explore the Victorian extension and the work of Canon Woodward," said Ian Gordon. The tour will include a ploughman's lunch. |
