"Armored Horse" at the Met

"The Armored Horse in Europe, 1480–1620," a special exhibit at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art, displays the many styles of horse armor popular in the late Middle Ages and Renaissance.

The exhibit takes place from February 15, 2005 through September 3, 2007 at the first floor, Arthur Ochs Sulzberger Gallery of the Arms and Armor Galleries, and includes many artifacts from the museum's permanent collection that have never before been displayed. A catalog is available.
