Drop your heavy burdens and travel to Logan, Utah to celebrate with the Shire of Côte du Ciel as we observe the feast day of our venerable and flammable patron, Saint Pyre. A source of warmth and light to those around him during his lifetime, and especially at the end of it, Saint Pyre's feast day is celebrated with mirth, merriment, and a distinct lack of seriousness.
The day's activities will include a heavy tournament, the traditional carrot-nosed melee, in which one lives only so long as one's carrot remains intact, a jovial round of light-hearted rapier activities, an A&S competition, and dancing.
Lunch will be available for $4. Dinner will be tavern-style, provided by Her Ladyship Tamar Black Sea. Cost is $6 for youth and adults, ages 14 and up, $3 for children ages 6 to 13, and children 5 and under eat for free.
Bard's and performers are invited to come and entertain during the tavern dinner. Especially welcomed would be stories recounting the adventures of Saint Pyre himself. The event will be held at the Wellsville Tabernacle. From the north or south, take the I-15 to the Logan/Utah State University exit, #362. Go east on 1100 S. (becomes US 89/91) towards Logan. After Sardine Canyon, turn left at the stoplight onto Wellsville Main St./US 101, and follow the road to the Wellsville town square and the tabernacle. If coming south from Preston, ID, take the 89/91 through Logan, and continue on to Wellsville. Turn right at the light onto Main Street/101 and follow it to the tabernacle. Signs will be posted.
The site is dry. Pets are allowed on leashes, with responsible owners. The site opens at 10am and closes at 10pm.
Site fees are as follows: Adults 18 and over, $6; youth 14 to 17, $4; children 6 to 13, $3; children 5 and under, free. Adults without membership cards will be charged a $3 surcharge.
