"Breathtaking" falconry demonstration at Battle Abbey

Reporters for the Hastings & St. Leonards Observer promise "breathtaking demonstrations of early Medieval falconry" on May 28, 2007 at England's Battle Abbey.

The six-hour demonstration will be conducted at the Abbey by members of Raphael Falconry who will use "a cast of beautiful and fast-flying hunting hawks, peregrine falcons, owls and kestrels to demonstrate the centuries-old hunting techniques and explain how at the date of 1066, hawking changed almost as dramatically as the course of English history."
