Once again the tender breath of spring has melted the icy heart of winter in the mountains of Atenveldt. Come join the good folk of the Shire of Granite Mountain as we celebrate the Merry Month of May! There will be tournaments to find a champion in Archery and Combat as well as in the Arts and Sciences. The Champion's Challenge will offer a special prize for entries in the Categories of Needlework, Heraldic Display or Metalwork.
We will dance and feast and enjoy divers pleasures of all sorts. There will be games for the children and for the young at heart. A light feast will offer many foods to please the most discriminating palate. The Shire will provide the meats and Shire members and any guests whom so wish will bring dishes to augment the meal. This has always proved to be an extremely inviting feast in the past. Lemonade, tea and water and light snacks will be available during the day.
All artists are invited to display their work and may enter the competition in individual categories. A silent auction is planned. The event will take place at the Senior Center 1021 W. Butterfield Rd., Chino Valley, AZ 86323.
