As has been the custom, the College of St Malachy and its surrounding shire of Adora being blessed with many young people of most excellent grace and vigour, do we hold the Flametree Ball each year, a most entertaining evening of song, dance, food and merriment to the delight of all who attend.
And so, on Saturday 26th May A.S. XLII (2007), do we propose to once again open our doors and entreat all who would join hands with us to attend the ninth year of this celebration
Venue Bulli Masonic Hall - 282 Princes Hwy, Bulli 2516
Hall opens at 6.30pm
(three minutes walk from Bulli Railway Stn or ten minutes north of Wollongong by car - parking available on site).
The steward, Gabrielle de la Riviere, invites all gentles to please book by the 12th day of May, bookings appreciated but not required. In the instance of special dietary requirements, please ensure to book and notify ahead to allow enough provision for you to sup may be made. (email: email@example.com)

$10 for members and $14 for non-members.
Any cheques are required to be made payable to the University of Wollongong Mediaeval Society.
The evening will consist of dances, music, dances, a generous supper, more dances, games, and dances. The dances are recommended for beginner to intermediate dancers.
Before the populace will celebrate this joyful evening, all whom practice the fine art of the fence are invited to take part in a tourney, at the site. Inspection commences at 1pm, for a 1.30pm start.
Further, those skilled in the bardic arts or with the needle are hereby invited to create items as they see fit for the display of their craft, and for the honour of an award, in either the style of a story, song or filk about the Flametree, this College and Shire, its home.
Or a bag or pouch, made in a period style. Absent entries of bags and pouches are welcome (as are filks, songs and stories, provided you may find a gentle willing to recite it for you).
Dance practices in the lead up for the ball:
- On the day of the ball, a dance class on site starts at 1.00 pm and ends around 5.00pm at the venue.
- St.Malachy & Adora dance practices next to Room 53 at the University of Wollongong, at 7.30pm - 8.30pm on Monday 16th April, 23rd April, 30th April, 7th May, 14th May, 21st May. May go an extra hour if required.
- Rowany dance practices at Forest Lodge public school at cnr Ross and >Bridge Sts Forest Lodge on at 7.00 pm to 9.00 pm on Fridays April 13 and May 11.
The dance and play list for the ball is not yet completely finalised and suggestions for additional dances and/or performance pieces for dance, music or song can be made to Brian of the Shire. (email: firstname.lastname@example.org)
Offers to give assistance with the running of the ball (eg pre-cooking, setup, cooking, cleanup, teach dance or play music) are welcomed!
