Microsoft and Google hope to help save Romansch

In response to a push by 35,000 speakers of Romansch in Switzerland, techno-giants Google and Microsoft have announced that they will support the language in their software.

Microsoft has released a standardized Romansch version of its Office™ software. Google will also support the language in its search engine. Romansch is a tongue derived from Latin that is centered around the Canton of Graubuenden in Switzerland.
