House Where Henry VIII Met Anne Boleyn for Sale

The manor house where England's King Henry VIII first met Anne Boleyn, an event which produced one of the greatest monarchs of history, Queen Elizabeth I, is for sale for UKĀ£1.3 million.

Rochford Hall is a Tudor house, complete with turrets, a great hall and a medieval moat, with modern adaptations. Owned by Boleyn's father, Thomas, from 1515, the manor reputedly also has secret tunnels leading to the nearest tavern.

Other owners have included Viscount Bolingbroke and the Wellesley family.
