Caer Galen Cavalier Challenge

description:
My Lords and Ladies, pray attend. The Barony of Caer Galen would like to invite all equestrian minded gentles to come and show off your skill with lance and sword, and watch the pageantry.

Majestic war horses from across the kingdom are called forth to gather and compete in regal style. Come watch the grace and grandeur of the cavalry. There will be equestrian and rapier challenges to delight.

This is not your typical IKEQ scored event. Authorized riders of all abilities are welcome! We encourage riders and mounts to dress in their best and make a grand entrance. Pageantry will be emphasized. Do your best to sway the judge. And maybe a little bribe wouldn't hurt...

This event will also be open to the public as a demonstration. Please join us in hosting our guests.

There will be a limited number of lesson horses available for lease.

Equestrian authorizations will be available during practice at 11:30 for those SCA members who need it.

All riders must wear ASTM/SEI approved helmets and protective shoes. Some loaner helmets will be available to use.

All outside horses must provide proof of negative coggins. No outside horses will be allowed on the property before 11 AM or after 4 PM.

Site is DRY. No dogs, smoking or glass containers. Bring your own water and a picnic lunch.
