Come to the North's premiere war event. War, war and more war! The War also includes tournament, A&S competitions, fencing, jousting, archery, feasting, war, drinking and much merriment. This is a fully catered event from Friday night soup kitchen to Monday lunch.
Great Northern War IX will be held at Baden Powell Park Scout Camp, 68 Cash Avenue Samford. The Park consists of 56 hectares of natural grass and bush land adjacent to the township of Samford, 21km west of the CBD of Brisbane.
In easy walking distance from the site, Samford hosts an IGA supermarket, Mitre 10 hardware, Caltex service station, bottle shop, several specialty shops, cafes and ATM's.

Please note: South East Queensland, like many areas of Australia, is in a drought. Brisbane is currently experiencing Level 5 water restrictions. Whilst there is water available onsite, we ask that you use it wisely. Please ensure you use only what you need, and that you check all taps are turned off when not in use.
Baden Powell Park is located at Cash Avenue, Samford.
By Car: From Enoggera, travel 15km west on Samford road. As you enter Samford, cash avenue is on the right, before you get to the roundabout at the Caltex Service Station. The entrance to Baden Powell Park is well signed, only 400m from Samford Road. By Plane: You can fly into Brisbane from all major destinations. You will then need to arrange transport to site.
By Taxi: Approximate taxi fares using Yellow Cabs 131 924 Brisbane CBD to site - $55 Brisbine Airport to site - $70 Shuttle Service: A shuttle service for interstate wayfarers from the Brisbane Airport to site can be arranged. Please consider that this service is on request, and you must make prior arrangements with the events booking officer to ensure the shuttle will be there to pick you up.
