East Kingdom Coronation

description:
Come One Come All! The Barony of Bergental and House ICOD are proud to invite you to attend the Coronation of Gryffith and Aikaterine. With the generous help of many friends, we are planning a gala day in celebration of our new monarchs. The site is magnificent, from the stained glass and stone arches in the sanctuary to the fireplaces in the parlors and the simple Tudor feast hall. This beautiful church hosts an annual Boar's Head Festival and is the perfect setting for modern medieval activities.

Indoors, there will be merchants, music in the chapel, a silent auction, and sundry other diversions. Tables will be reserved for a games tournament: bring your backgammon, chess or period games and challenge all comers. An A&S exhibit will delight and inform: all entries are welcome, and we will highlight those from 1350 to 1450 in honor of our new Royalty. A spacious room has been set aside for children's crafts and other supervised activities. The Last Court of Lucan and Yana will begin at 11 a.m. in the gothic sanctuary.

Outdoors, weather permitting, we will play bocce and croquet on the broad green lawn. And at the request of His Majesty, a tournament will be held. The tourney will move indoors to the gymnasium if necessary. (Please bring rubber-soled shoes.)

A bounteous evening feast will be prepared by Baron Dietrich Schwelgengraber, justly famed for his culinary skill. A concert and dancing will end our festivities. We pray you join us for what will prove to be a most memorable Coronation Day.
