THE SITE: Enjoy our new site with green lawns, shade trees, lake breezes and big blue skies: Buena Vista Aquatic Recreational Area,
13601 Ironbark Road, Bakersfield, CA 93312. The park is just 110 miles from downtown Los Angeles! It is an easy drive over the hill to a lovely park where we have a large lakeside area all to ourselves. Approximately 25 miles southwest of Bakersfield, CA, off I-5 onto Highway 119. Turn Left on Golf Course Rd. Turn Left into the park entrance. We will NOT be using the parks main gate entrance off of Hwy 43 (S. Enos Ln).
SITE OPENS at noon on Tuesday October 2, 2007 for all PRE-REGISTERED guests, and is open noon Wednesday October 3, 2007 at noon for those who are not pre- registered.
PREREGISTRATION: Is being accepted NOW. Online pre-registration will close on August 31, 2007. Mail in pre-registration will close on September 15, 2007.
LAND ALLOCATION: Is Limited to Kingdom Royal encampments. Everything else is first come first served.
ATTENTION: In an effort to be fair to those who can not arrive early - Those who are pre-registered and arriving on Tuesday may reserve land for others who have also Pre-registered. On Wednesday all land is first come first served. So make sure everyone in your group is registered before September 15, 2007. Pre-registration not only helps fund the event but allows budgeting for nifty things that must be reserved well ahead of the war date.
VOLUNTEERING: Donate a few hours to make GWW a memorable event and earn a monetary donation to your favorite SCA territory. Those who contribute time can also earn tickets for the Volunteer Raffle.
Groups or Households could volunteer to man a venue in pairs.
Challenge another group to outdo your group's volunteer time. Don't miss out on the fun and camaraderie. Contact our Volunteer Stewards (see web page) for more information.
ARTS & SCIENCES: Share your knowledge, artistry and skills with the rest of the Known World! Merchants, teach your class in your booth if desired. Urge others to teach a class, too! Contact A&S (see web page) for class proposal form.

EQUESTRIAN: A week of fun and unique challenges with an equestrian area next to the tourney fields for maximum visibility, so bring your finest barding for tournaments, match games, quests, and more!
Anyone bringing a horse or wishing to sponsor a tournament or class, contact the EQ autocrat (see web page)
MERCHANTS: The merchant village will be an exciting new venture at the new site! If interested in selling anything, including food, ask the merchant autocrat (see web page) for a merchant packet.
YOUTH ACTIVITIES: For our fantastic youth, there will be classes, quests, catapult competition, Teen Revel, garb swap, Youth Combat, Torchlight Tourney and Revel, melees, brigade challenge, and much more, including a prize for the teen who logs the most volunteer hours!
